Junior League of Cleveland Invites Nonprofits to Submit Proposals for Funding

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Junior League of Cleveland extendsthe invitation to nonprofit organizations across the Cleveland area to present their visionary projects for potential funding. With a resolute commitment to bolstering public health initiatives, the League is thrilled to announce the initiation of its annual grant program.

The League’s strategic vision centers around collaborating with nonprofits that share a common purpose and wield a profound influence on the Cleveland community. Through member input and strategic planning, the League adopted public health as its new area of emphasis starting in 2023. By contributing to this arena, the League aligns with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Healthy People 2030 Plan, which sets data-driven national objectives to improve health and well-being over the next decade. The League intends to make our focus local and meaningful to the Greater Cleveland Community.

Eligible organizations are encouraged to partake in the electronic Request for Proposal (RFP) application process, accessible on our website at: https://cleveland.jl.org/community/rfp/.
The application prompts nonprofits to furnish comprehensive details about their organization, articulate the specifics of their proposed project or program, and explain its alignment with the Junior League of Cleveland’s mission and focus areas.

The proposal submission deadline is January 26, 2024. Timeliness is imperative, as incomplete or tardy submissions will not be considered. The Community Research and Development Committee (CRDC), comprised of dedicated League members, will orchestrate the selection process, evaluating proposals based on alignment with the League’s mission, potential community impact, feasibility, and the financial stability of the applying organization.

The League anticipates announcing grant recipients in February 2024, with all applicants promptly notified of the committee’s decisions.
