Leaning Forward 100 Years and Beyond
As we reflect on the work that the Junior League of Cleveland has done in the community over the past 100 years, “WOW!” comes to mind. Highlights include:

  • Efforts during World War II, where JLC members manned blood banks and held blood drives, etc.;
  • Creation of Done-in-a-Day (now Immediate Impact) projects in the late 1990s to meet the needs of busy volunteers and to serve the short-term needs of a variety of groups and agencies,
  • Our current focus on helping youth aging out of foster care manage the transition to independent living.

As an organization of dynamic women who are enthusiastic and passionate about serving Cleveland, the JLC has never shied away from a worthy challenge.Today, we are proud to partner with numerous community organizations to help them achieve their mission, while simultaneously reaching our own.
