Junior League of Cleveland Hiring Office Administrator

The Junior League of Cleveland (JLC) seeks candidates for the position of Office Administrator.  This job is part-time and hybrid with at least some hours in the office each week. The Office Administrator reports to the JLC President and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as JLC primary point of contact to the public, its members, and partners.
  • Manage agendas, meeting materials, and other collateral in support of JLC membership (especially Board of Directors and Committees).
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages, etc.) and appropriately triages correspondence to appropriate individuals as necessary.
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures managed by Treasurer and Finance Chair.
  • Create and update records and manage databases with member, financial and other data.
  • Track stock of office supplies/promotional materials/collateral and place orders when necessary.
  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned.
  • Provide event support including clerical, set-up/tear-down, catering, and tracking.
  • Maintain League Loft serving as the liaison with Tyler Village (landlord, security), vendors (custodial, printing and mail services, caterers, etc.) and partners.
  • Assist membership with various projects whenever necessary.

Requirements and skills

  • Interest in office administration, business, or executive assistance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office and office management software (must learn and master League-specific software called Member Essentials).
  • Ability to multitask, project manage to completion, take initiative, and problem solve.
  • Ability to perform physical activity and lift weight up to 50lbs.
  • Possession of valid driver’s license necessary for agency pick-ups and deliveries.

Salary

  • Starting at $20/hour
  • $200/month stipend for healthcare benefits or other needs
  • This position is part-time (approximately 20 hours weekly) with flexible hours including very occasional night and weekend hours to support the agency’s events.
