COMMUNICATIONS VICE PRESIDENT, 2023-2025: Lisa Mayhugh

Lisa Mayhugh is the Administrative Director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner Research Institute where she oversees the administrative and strategic operations of a large research department. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic in 2021, she spent over 14 years in the higher education sector, the bulk of which was at The Ohio State University. She worked in academic affairs, career services, and research administration and was passionate about improving the staff experience in higher education. While at Ohio State, Lisa served in a number of leadership positions including a three year term on the University Staff Advisory Committee where she held the position of Governance Chair and a two year term as a University Senator. Lisa has a BA in Psychology from Kent  State University and an MA in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University.

Lisa joined the Junior League in 2021 as a way to connect with other Cleveland women who are passionate about bettering their communities through volunteer service. Lisa is currently serving on the Junior League’s Management Team as the Communications Vice President and was previously on the Fund Development Events Committee where she helped plan and execute the League’s annual spring fundraising event. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, fitness, reading, and attending concerts. Though she’s only been a resident for a short time, she loves all things ‘Cleveland’ including the professional sports teams, food and craft beer scenes, and exploring the rich variety of cultural attractions across the Cleveland and Akron metros.
