The Junior League of Cleveland represents a community of diverse women, who are interested in giving back to their community, increasing their knowledge, and having fun while meeting other great women in Northeast Ohio.

Beth Zellers – “I joined the Junior League of Cleveland because I recognized that my impact on the Cleveland Community could be greater, if I were to align myself with like-minded women, who have a diverse set of backgrounds and skills, instead of trying to volunteer as an individual. Through this organization, I have been exposed to a variety of opportunities to give back to the Cleveland Community in a meaningful way and to develop my own skills as a civic leader, all while meeting amazing friends along the way.”

Chinenye Nkemere – “I joined Junior League to be able to connect with other like-minded women in Northeast Ohio while committing to a mission of volunteerism. In the League, I have gained the support and mentorship of many Black women, who have helped and guided me in my professional and personal life. I have gained an exceptional amount of knowledge by centering the voices of women and consistently amplifying our communities.”

Anne Fleming – “Joining the Junior League of Cleveland has allowed me to gain valuable skills that have been an asset in my professional career. I have had the opportunity to grow as a leader and be mentored and supported by my fellow members. This organization allows you to give back to the city of Cleveland while networking with other women in the community.”

Alicia Love – “Through the Junior League of Cleveland, I have been able to get unique experiences and exposures that have moved me along the continuum from civic engagement to civic leadership. I believe that developing women civic leaders is THE key to making radical changes in our communities and I believe it is CRITICAL to develop women of color civic leaders if we are going to dismantle institutional racism in nonprofits and structural racism. I stay active and continue to be involved with the Junior League of Cleveland to learn how to further my effectiveness as a woman of color civic leader. “

Chyra White – “I joined Junior League in 2019 and it’s a decision that I’m so glad I made!  As a       transplant to Cleveland, I wanted to find a way to not only meet new people, but also learn about       the city while giving back at the same time.  By joining Junior League, I’ve met so many women fromm so many different walks of life who each share many of the same passions that I have. Though this year has been different from the previous years the League has experienced, I look  forward to continuing the tradition of bringing in a great Provisional group of women!”
