BOARD MEMBER: SUSTAINING, 2023-2024: Charity (D’Amato) Crawford

Charity Crawford, also known as Charity D’Amato, has been an active member of the Junior League of Cleveland since 2006. Throughout her membership, she has taken on various leadership roles, including Provisional Advisor, Engagement (Retention) Coordinator, Girl Culture Committee, 100th Anniversary Council; Gala Committee, and the Board of Directors; Education & Leadership Development Director. Currently, she serves on the Sustainer Council, where she holds the position of Arts & Antiques; Special Interest Chair.

In addition to her contributions to the community, Charity has established a successful design firm called studio Chartreuse, previously known as Chartreuse, Inc. This strategic design studio offers a diverse array of creative solutions to clients, specializing in branding, product packaging, content creation, and web development. They have collaborated with both renowned arts organizations and enthusiastic solo-preneurs, helping them develop innovative products and communication strategies tailored to niche target audiences.

Celebrating two decades of success with studio Chartreuse, Charity’s dedication to her work is remarkable. Beyond her professional achievements, she has a fulfilling personal life. Charity is married to Ben Crawford, who works as a manufacturing engineer/Quality Manager at Regal Rexnord. Together, they are loving parents to a nine-year-old son named Maxwell and a three-year-old St. Bernard/Boxer/Retriever mix named Sophie.

The Crawford family finds joy in attending various arts, cultural, and sporting events in Cleveland. They particularly enjoy shows at Playhouse Square, events hosted by the Cleveland Museum of Art, and bike rides in the scenic Metro Parks.

In her leisure time, Charity has a passion for fashion and unique style. She loves hunting for one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories at thrift stores and estate sales, using them to create her distinctive “outfits of the day!” You can catch her showcasing these looks on her Instagram account, @charity216, most mornings.
