Description

Microaggressions are subtle, often assumed to be unintentional or unconscious, but no matter the motivation,
they are manifestations of racism, sexism, homophobia, religious and other biases. This training aims to engage
participants in recognizing what microaggressions are and how they affect us in our workplaces, social and
personal lives, educational settings and more.

In building understanding of microaggressions, participants will recognize how these play out in everyday life,
how to respond to them when observed in different situations, and how to be more aware of speech, behavior
and sensitivity to others. In learning about microaggressions, participants will also discover practical things they
can do to help develop inclusive environments of diverse individuals and groups and grow in their diversity, equity,
and inclusion practices.
